Jacob in Eclipse being a mutt rather than a dog

Jacob said the meanest thing in eclipse. He says 'I'd rather you'd be dead than be one of them!' In the movie she was about to leave and actually says 'Bella, please,I'm sorry!' in the movie/book she actually forgives him! He was a mutt rather than what Edward pictures him as a 'dog' Jacob actually won't be a werewolf until he lays off the 'Renesmee Carlie Cullen' When he gets a lot of separation from her...
